Upcoming Milling and Paving Work (May 3-16, 2024)

Dominion Paving has been hired by the Board of Directors to replace the asphalt in parking lot and select walking paths, repair damaged curbs, concrete gutters, replace speed bumps, and repaint the reserved spaces, parking lines, direction arrows, and marks along the curb. We will need your full cooperation to make this a successful project.

Schedule:

Dominion Paving provided the following schedule. This schedule is subject change. Please visit the cluster website (www.summitchasecluster.org) for updates to the schedule.

  • May 3 Asphalt Repairs on Trails: there are several asphalt trails in the cluster that Dominion Paving company will repair. There should be little to no impact to the homeowners.

  • May 8 Concrete Repairs: throughout the cluster necessary repairs to the curbs and gutters will be completed. Individual notices will be given out if vehicles are affected by the concrete work.
  • May 10 Pressure Washing: Yellow curbs will be pressure washed and prepared for painting on this day.
  • May 14: Paving and Painting: ALL vehicles must be removed from the property NO LATER THAN 7:00 AM. Vehicles may return at the end of the contractor’s work day, which is approximately 5:00 PM. Vehicles (cars) not removed by 7:00 AM will be towed by Henry’s Towing at the owner’s expense.
  • May 15 Milling: ALL vehicles must be removed from the property NO LATER THAN 7:00 AM. Vehicles may return at the end of the contractor’s work day, which is approximately 5:00 PM. Vehicles (cars) not removed by 7:00 AM will be towed by Henry’s Towing at the owner’s expense.
  • May 16 Paving and Painting: ALL vehicles must be removed from the property NO LATER THAN 7:00 AM. Vehicles may return at the end of the contractor’s work day, which is approximately 5:00 PM. Vehicles (cars) not removed by 7:00 AM will be towed by Henry’s Towing at the owner’s expense.

Things to Remember:

  • Parking: All vehicles must be removed from cluster property by 7:00 AM each morning between May 13 and 16. Vehicles not moved will be towed at 7:00 AM at the expense of the owner.
  • Autumnwood Pool parking: Reston Association will reserve 10 parking spaces at the entrance of the parking lot. The spaces will be marked with signs and cones, we may move the cones to park in the spaces, please return the cones when you move your car. We are permitted to park in the spaces overnight. PLEASE respect the users of the tennis and pickle ball courts, and the parking lot does become full at night. IF we cause too many problems RA will not permit us this option in the future, and may remove the cones and prohibit us from parking in the lot during this work. Parking in at your own risk, RA and Summit Chase Cluster have no responsibility for damage to your vehicle.
  • Vehicular Traffic: The entrance/exit will be blocked when the contractor is milling, paving, and painting (May 13-16). Vehicles will be prohibited from entering or exiting cluster property during that time. For everyone’s safety DO NOT drive through the work areas!
  • Pedestrians/Pets: Stay off the asphalt surface while work is being completed. Any damage done by residents and guests is costly and is not the responsibility of Dominion Paving, the Summit Chase Cluster Association or TWC Association Management.
  • Weather: All dates are weather dependent. The contractor will communicate with the Board in the event of bad weather. Residents will be notified if the work is rescheduled. A ‘rain date’ is TBD, but could be two the three weeks later.
